British Guiana Issued Stamps 1914 Stamp Design Competition Submitted by E.S. Truchot of Georgetown, two similar photographic designs showing the King´s portrait above the allegorical figure of British Guiana holding sugar cane leaves, etc., one (45x66mm.) tinted brown, the other showing simulated perforations and printed in blue (37x54mm.) affixed to card (82x101mm.); accompanied by a letter of 4th June from the designer commenting that he hopes he has not missed the closing date and with summary of the sketches submitted.
