British Guiana Early letters and Handstamps Demerara 1816 (6 Feb.) entire "p Packet" to Scotland, rated "8/-" and showing, on reverse, a superb strike of the "demerara" fleuron d.s. (Townsend Type 6) with "fleuron" appearing as a single line, boxed "addl/ 1/2" and Edinburgh boxed d.s. (26.3) on face. Photo Estimate £ 150-200 Note: It was already known that this wear to the "fleuron" occurred during the life of the instrument, however it is now seen to have happened between September 1815 and early February 1816
