Victoria 1886-96 inscribed "stamp duty", a selection of colour trials comprising 1/2d. in dull violet-blue, in orange-brown and in yellow-green, and 2d. in carmine-rose and in turquoise-green, each in a block of four on gummed watermarked paper, each row crossed by manuscript ink lines in different colours and one 1/2d. and one 2d. block treated with chemicals.
