NYASALAND 1907-32 Large Key Plate De La Rue Universal Colour Trials There were five series of Imperium 6d. and "Nyasaland" type 1d. (for values up to 4/-) and £10 (for values above 5/-). All were imperforate and on Multiple Crown CA watermarked paper. The 6d. and £10 designs are inscribed "postage & revenue" and the 1d. "postage postage" (when issued all were altered to "postage & revenue". The 1d. and £10 designs are inscribed "thos de la rue & co" in the country tablet. First Series dated 23rd November 1907 " 1/2d" in green, "2/6" in grey and carmine on blue, "4/-" in green and black, "5/-" in dull purple and black on red, "8/-" in dull purple and blue-green, "10/-" in green and red on green, "£1" in green and red on yellow and "£25" in dull purple and orange, all with solid numeral; and "1 1/2d" in yellow-orange and purple, "2d" in grey and orange, "2d" in slate-grey, "1/6" in green and blue, "2/-" in dull purple and yellow-green, and "£5" in green and yellow; each affixed to a small piece with manuscript denomination alongside, fine.
