New Zealand 1868 (3 Dec.) double rate envelope from Waikouaiti, via Panama, to Pictou, Nova Scotia, carried on the 30th., and final, voyage of the Panama and New Zealand Royal mail Steam Co. by the "Rakaia", bearing 1864-67 6d. red-brown pair cancelled "05" in oval of bars and additionally tied by "n.y. steamship/10" c.d.s. (22.1), the reverse with despatch Dunedin (3.12), Halifax (25.1) and arrival (25.1) d.s.; some foxing around adhesives though a scarce destination. Photo Estimate £ 250-300
