Wreck Covers 1858 (16 Feb.) mourning envelope, with enclosure, from Calcutta to Lyme Regis "Per Overland steamer, Via Marseilles" with boxed "india unpaid" and manuscript "6"; the reverse with a good strike of "Saved from the wreck/of the Ava." with faint despatch, London and Lyme c.d.s.; light soiling but still fine. Also a washed envelope from Madras (15.2) to Edinburgh "Via Southampton", the adhesive has washed off and the reverse with the wreck handstamp, despatch and arrival c.d.s. Photo.
