Turner 1/Lincs K.I.A. 8-2-45´; War Medal, unnamed as issued, extremely fine, with named condolence slip and card box of issue, addressed to Mr. T. Turner, King´s Cross, Halifax, Yorkshire; five letters from the War Office and Imperial War Graves Commission regarding the recipient´s grave; South East Asia Command souvenir newspaper regarding the War in Burma; and a portrait photograph of the recipient (3) Estimate £ 40-60 14637534 Private Raymond Turner, born Halifax, Yorkshire, 1924; one of three brothers to serve in the Armed Forces during the Second World War; killed in action during the push south with 15 Corps along the west coast of Burma, 8.2.1945. Private Turner was initially buried in the Akyab War Cemetery, Burma; in 1953, due to the remote location of the cemetery, it was closed and his body was moved and re-buried in Taukkyan War Cemetery, Rangoon, Burma.
