St. Christopher Early Letters and Handstamps 1800 (13 June) entire letter to Edinburgh, marked "p Packet", rated "2/2", showing red arrival Bishop mark (24.7) and, on reverse, very fine "st kitts/jun 13 1800" two-line d.s. (RL Type PF). The contents discuss the lack of mail...."It is a long time since I heard from you, but this may be owing to letters being lost on several Packets both outward and homeward bound have been taken - I wrote to you by two Packets that I know now have been both captured".
