x Orange Free State Early Letters and Handstamps 1835 (Jan.) missionary entire from James Archbell at "Thaba Unchu" to London rated "1/4" and "1/3", signed "Archbell" in the lower left corner and showing Grahamstown "Crown" h.s. alongside Crowned "general port office/cape of good hope" d.s. (15.1) and, on reverse, framed "india letter/poole" h.s. and London arrival c.d.s. (3.4), both in red. A rare and important early letter.
