Somaliland 1901-04, The Somaliland Campaigns Four expeditions had to be instituted against the "Mad Mullah" and his followers who were spreading death and destruction against the peaceful Somali. Indian stamps were used on correspondence Third Expedition, October 1902 - June 1903 1903 (25 May) 1a. on 2a.6p. stationery envelope to India, clearly cancelled by "f.p.o. no 45" c.d.s. and showing, on reverse, "base office/obbia" (28.5), Sea Post Office (31.5) and Simla arrival (7.6) datestamps; the envelope with some creases at left and minor discolouration in places.
