Edward IV, first reign (1461-1470), light coinage, 1464-1470, Ryal, 7.69g, London, m.m none/crown, king standing facing with sword and shield, ship with stern banner inscribed with an e, rose on side of ship, rev. rose upon a radiate sun in centre of floriated cross set within tressure with large fleurs in spandrels, trefoil stops (C.f. Schneider 361; N.1549; S.1950), slightly off centre, strong figure of king, traces of wax residue, weakness in places in legends, very fine Estimate £ 700-900
