Roman Republic, Anonymous, c. 211-206 BC, AE light Quadrans, head of young Hercules right, clad in boar´s skin, three pellets behind, rev. bull charging right, snake on ground below, corn-ear and three pellets above, roma in exergue (Cr. 72/7; RCV 1043/2), dark green patina, good very fine Estimate £ 175-200 Two weight standards exist for this coin, one of about 13 grams, the other of 6.5 grams. This coin, with a weight of 6.08 grams, is undoubtedly part of the second group.
