London Gazette 10.7.1919 Evans-Lombe, Nurse Miss A.J.M., attd. 3rd Staty. Hosp. Aileen Josephine Mary Evans-Lombe, born 1895, sister of Colonel B. Evans-Lombe who attended the original Brownsea Island Scout Camp with Baden-Powell; served with the Voluntary Aid Detachment as a Nursing Member during the Great War at the Auxiliary Hospital (Cirencester), February 1915-July 1917 and in France with postings at the 59th General Hospital, 3rd Stationary Hospital and 8th General Hospital, July 1917-August 1919; after the war joined the A.T.S. (Efficiency Medal London Gazette 30.7.1948).
