Lan: R.) c) British War and Victory Medals (Major R. Ord) d) Defence Medal e) Special Constabulary Long Service & G.C., G.V.R., ´coinage head´ (Rudolph Ord), edge bruise to V.M., very fine, mounted as originally worn, with (6) associated miniature awards, all housed in a custom made case (6) Estimate £ 140-180 M.B.E. London Gazette 1.1.1948 Lieutenant-Colonel Rudolf Ord, J.P., Managing Director, Satterthwaite and Company. Formerly Chairman, Council of Leather and Grindery Merchants´ Associations of Great Britain Lieutenant-Colonel Rudolph Ord, M.B.E., commissioned Acting Captain 4th Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, 30.10.1915, and served with the regiment during the Great War; after the war Ord was District Commissioner of the Preston Boy Scouts Association and was awarded the "Silver Acorn", 23.4.1956
