The Unique India General Service and General Service Pair to Sergeant R. Duffy, Liverpool Regiment India General Service 1908-35, G.V.R., 1st ´Kaisar-i-Hind´ type, Calcutta Mint issue, one clasp, Abor 1911-12 (L/Cpl. R. Duffy King´s L´Pool. Regt.), impressed in large serif capitals; General Service 1918-62, G.V.R., one clasp, S. Persia (10865 Sjt. R. Duffy. L´Pool R.), very fine (2) Estimate £ 350-450 10865 Sergeant Robert Duffy, served with the Liverpool Regiment in operations near Hafiz Kor, Asiatic Theatre, within the area bounded on the south by the left bank of the Kabul river, and on the east by a line from Adozai to Tangi, under the command of Major-General C.F.G. Young, 14-19.4.1915, and under the command of Major-General F. Campbell, C.B., D.S.O., 29.8-10.10.1915. Also entitled to a 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, and Victory Medal, and to the Clasp ´Iraq´ on the General Service Medal. Later transferred to Lancashire Fusiliers.
