M.G.C.), very fine and rare Estimate £ 300-350 M.M. London Gazette 4.2.1918 3415 A./L./C. W.V. Mercer, M.G. Corps (Garston) 3415 Corporal Mercer, M.M., enlisted as 31706 Private, Liverpool Regiment; transferred 188 Company, Machine Gun Corps, as part of 63rd (Royal Naval) Division, 4.8.1916, and won his Military Medal for Passchendaele and the actions at Welch Ridge, November to December 1917. One of only 7 M.M.s to 188 Company, Machine Gun Corps.
