A group of French military, etc, Headdress A brass helmet of "Adrien" style, with low crest and red feather side-plume, mounted with a brass front plate in the form of a grenade within a shield flanked by sprays of laurel and oak leaves, and surmounted by a Mural Crown beneath a scroll inscribed SAPEURS POMPIERS CHAUMONT S THABONNE, black leather chinstrap; a black Adrien helmet mounted with a grenade inscribed RF superimposed on crossed gun-barrels; a similar helmet, painted grey, mounted with a disc stamped with a grenade (retaining the clip fixings for lining but lacking lining and chinstrap); another helmet, also of Adrien style, mounted with a grenade, the peak now fitted with a shaped brass cover stamped with bayleaves and a central oval inscribed SOLDAT DE LA GRANDE GUERRE 1914 -1918, a corrugated metal insert around the liner (chinstrap broken); a modern grey kepi of the Foreign Legion, by EVE CHOLET, MARSEILLE, with white braid ornament to top and small gold-embroidered star-and-crescent badge; a black kepi, by the same maker, the red top with blue braid edging, and a small grenade in front in red embroidery; and a white tropical helmet, generally of Wolseley style, with a white pugri (7)
