A Governor-General´s Full Dress uniform A metal trunk containing a blue coatee, with scarlet collar, cuffs, cuff-slashes, skirt-slashes and skirt-ornaments, all decorated with silver oakleaf embroidery, and white skirt-turnbacks, two rows each of nine white metal buttons in front (two buttons deliberately omitted in the left-hand row to allow medals to be worn), buttons mounted with KC above the Union spray (the coatee now lacking epaulettes); trousers with leather foot-straps and 2 1/2in. silver oakleaf lace stripes; cocked hat with double silver bullion loop and massive tassels, with central socket fitting in top for screw-post plume-fixing; two white-over-red drooping feather plumes, and a shorter red-over-white plume, all with screw-post fixings and in their original cardboard boxes; a red leather waistbelt with silver oakleaf lace, the rectangular plate mounted with GviR cypher within an oakleaf wreath and motto (the sword-slings lacking billets); a pair of Wellington boots, with spur-boxes; a staff-officer´s gold/crimson aiguillette; and an Evening Dress blue coatee with black velvet collar, gilt buttons mounted with the Royal Arms (with supporters) and provision for two breast-stars (lot) See illustration Estimate £ 250-350
