Gds.); Turkish Crimea, British die, pierced as issued, with later plugging and scroll suspension (Private. Fenton. Stell. Grenr. Gds.), contact marks, nearly very fine or better, together with the recipient´s Grenadier Guards Helmet Plate, mounted for display in an oval, glazed frame (3) Estimate £ 450-500 5708 Private Fenton Stell, born Keighley, Yorkshire, 1829; enlisted in the 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards, April 1849; served in the Crimea for one year and three months, and in British North America for two years and nine months; Awarded Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, 16.4.1868; discharged December 1871 after 22 years and 238 days with the colours.
