Surcharged on Stamps of East India Covers 1868 (1 Apr.) envelope to Liverpool, marked "via Marseilles", bearing 8c. on 2a. yellow and 24c. on 8a. rose in combination with 1867 12c. blue, all pre-cancelled with part firm´s chop and tied by Singapore c.d.s. and showing arrival d.s. (18.5) on reverse; the face panel with 40mm. repaired tear at top well clear of adhesives. A most attractive three colour combination cover and the only example of this rate recorded.
