STRAITS SETTLEMENTS Indian Stamps used in the Straits Settlements 1855-65 Typographed Issues Singapore 1857 (6 Oct.) envelope to London, marked "Overland via Southampton", rated "6" and bearing, on reverse, 1a. brown strip of four clearly tied by "B/172" obliterator and additionally tied by "singapore/p.o." and arrival datestamps, both in red; the 1a. strip with small defect at foot and stain at top right.
