Asmi Achmet Effendi, silver medal, A.D.1791, bearded bust left, wearing turban and robes with fur collar, rev. German inscription in eight lines, zum andencken bey seiner anwesenheit als gesandter zu berlin im februar 1791, 29mm., 6.7g (Friedensburg/Seger 4554; Henckel 1922; ME.363; Voltolina 1737), good very fine, rare Estimate £ 150-200 Asmi Achmet was Turkish ambassador to Berlin. The medal is unsigned, but a identical medal but with the name Amsi Said is signed K on the obverse for Anton K?nig.
