(BBM.40; ME.179), good extremely fine, scarce thus Estimate £ 150-200 Awarded to the defenders of the fortress of Akka (St Jean d´Acre) and to other Turkish, British and Austrian army and navy personnel who took psrt in the operations against Mehmed Ali Pasha along the coast of Syria during 1840.
