Selim III (H1203-1222; A.D.1789-1807), Vaka-I Misriye Madaltsi ve Hilal Niisani, H.1216 (Sultan´s Medal for Egypt, 1801), a hollow bronze coloured electrotype, 38mm. very fine; Abdulmecid (H.1255-77; A.D.1839-61), Kirim Madalyasi, H.1271 (Crimea Campaign Medal 1854), silver (2), British type and Sardinian type (BBM.73; ME192), both pierced and with small rings for suspension, the last with marks on reverse edge from a mount, about very fine (3) Estimate £ 80-100 The Sultan´s Gold Medal for Egypt was given to members of the British and Turkish army and navy who took part in the campaign against Napoleon in Egypt 1801.The Crimea Medal was given to British, French and Sardinian troops who took part in the Crimean campaign against Russia, 1854-56. Three types were issued, each with one of the Allies´ flags given prominence to the right of the Turkish flag.
