x Canada Wreck Covers 1897 (14 June) envelope from Ottawa to Wales, bearing 5c. brownish grey cancelled with squared-circle d.s. and showing framed "damaged by immersion/in sea water" cachet in violet alongside London Paid transit c.d.s. (24.6) in red, Swansea arrival c.d.s. (25.6); the envelope torn at top through opening which passes across the handstamp, and with other faults, nevertheless a rare item of mail from the wreck of the S.S. St. Paul.
