x CANADA Campaign, Expedition and Military Mail The First Nile Expedition, 1884-85 1884 (23 Dec.) envelope ex the Neilson correspondence from Neilsonville, Que. to Surgeon Major Neilson (the expeditions medical officer) at Wadi Halfa and redirected to "Korti or Khartoum", bearing Small Queen 2c. green and 3c. orange (perfs. cut off at foot) each cancelled with two-ring target and with despatch c.d.s. at left, the reverse with Quebec duplex (23.12) and Cairo (14.1) c.d.s. A very rare cover, more particularly with the 2c. plus 3c. franking, with most of the few known covers from this correspondence franked with a single 5c. value.
