x CANADA The Small Queen Issue Six Cents Yellowish Brown Montreal Printings, Perforated 12 Covers 1881 (25 May) envelope (205x100mm., fractionally truncated) with embossed crest for the Senate on flap, registered from Quebec to St. Joseph, Beauce, bearing 6c. yellowish brown pair and a single, 3c. orange and Registered 2c. orange, all cancelled with "3" two-ring target and showing "registered" h.s. in red and despatch c.d.s. at left, arrival c.d.s. (25.5) on reverse; the envelope with horizontal crease at centre well clear of the adhesives though an attractive seven times rate domestic franking.
