x CANADA The Large Queen Issue Twelve and a Half Cent Blue Ottawa Printings, Perforated 12 Covers 1868 (23 June) entire letter from Hamilton "pr Canadian Mail" to Glasgow, bearing 12 1/2c. blue on wove paper, placed sideways and cancelled with bars duplex and showing "glasgow packet/paid" d.s. (10.7) alongside; central vertical crease through the Glasgow d.s. though an attractive cover carried on the Allan Line vessel Moravian. Photo Estimate £ 150-200 Note: The Glasgow Paid datestamp indicates that mail was sorted at sea, landed at Liverpool and sent by train to Glasgow. Glasgow became an exchange office under the Anglo-U.S. Treaty of 1 September 1860, but the Allen Line did not carry mails to Glasgow
