Crimea 1854-56, two clasps, Alma, Sebastopol (Lieut. F.B. Davies. 3rd Bn. Gr. Gds.), officially impressed, minor edge nicks, otherwise extremely fine, with contemporary silver riband bar by T.B. Bailey, Coventry Estimate £ 500-600 Lieutenant Francis Brian Davies, the eldest son of Major-General Davies, commissioned Ensign and Lieutenant, 19.12.1851, was wounded in the trenches before Sebastopol, 19.10.1854, and died aged 19 years as a consequence of those wounds aboard H.M.S.
