India General Service 1854-95, one clasp, Bhootan (Capt. R.B. Mackenzie 11th N.I.), minor edge bruise, otherwise extremely fine Estimate £ 340-380 Captain Roderick Boyd Mackenzie (1835-67), born Saugor, India; educated by the Reverend R. Moir of Canonmill´s House, Edinburgh, 1845-52; Cadet 1856; posted Ensign 69th Bengal Infantry later the same year; Lieutenant 1857; his Regiment were disarmed at Mooltan, and as a consequence of this he was posted to the 6th Bengal Irregular Cavalry, 1858; appointed Acting Barrack Master at Amritsar, Kangra, and Dhamsala, 1859; placed on the cadre of the late 12th Bengal Native Infantry, which had mutinied at Nowgong and Jhansi; posted Captain 11th Bengal Native Infantry, 1865, and served with them during the Bhootan Campaign (1864-65); sent home due to illness and died on furlough in Cheltenham.
