C Grant Int Corps); Rhodesia 1980 (24495510 L Cpl C Grant Int Corps); Zimbabwe Independence Medal 1980, numbered ´12920´, extremely fine, mounted court style for display (3) Estimate £ 550-600 24495510 Corporal Colin Grant, joined the Intelligence Corps, 1978; served at Tidworth (81 Intelligence Section), 1979; he was one of five other Intelligence Corps members to serve in 8 Field Force in Operation "Agila" in Rhodesia, January 191980-14.7.1981 and was presented his medal by Brigadier Learmont who was Commander of 8 Field Force in the Commonwealth Monitoring Operation; a keen cross-country runner he went on Exercise "Lion Sun III" in Cyprus; Grant did a tour of duty in Northern Ireland from, October 1981; served with 7 Intelligence Company in Germany (Bielefield HQ 1st British Corps), July 1982-July 1983; served in 90 Security Section in London, July 1983-August 1984; posted to 96 Security Section at Aldershot, before leaving the service in 1985.
