Pearce. Glosters), good very fine or better, with photographic image of recipient (3) Estimate £ 120-150 5179320 Private R.J. Pearce enlisted 2nd Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, 1926; High Jump Champion 1931; served during the Second World War with the regiment in France from 2.10.1939; he was captured at Toruni, Dunkirk, 30.5.1940 and imprisoned at Stalag 8B, Lamfdorf, Near Breslau, Germany; also at Stalag E35, Sosnovich, Poland; Pearce was finally liberated in 1945, after the 1500 mile "death march" back to Germany.
