x Five: Private A. Durham, Army Air Corps 1939-1945 Star; France and Germany Star; Defence and War Medals; General Service 1918-62, G.VI.R., one clasp, Palestine 1945-48 (14541011 Pte. A. Durham AAC), very fine or better, possibly a later issue struck on a slightly thicker flan, mounted as originally worn (5) Estimate £ 200-240 14541011 Private A. Durham attended Parachute Course 88, which finished 18.10.1943; served in 9 Para from 22.4.1944; served with ´C´ Company during the D-Day invasion where the company acted as the reserve and counter-attack force for the Battalion´s attack on the Merville Battery (wounded 27.6.1944); attended the Advance Parachute Course R150, which finished 22.1.1945; after the war he continued service with the AAC and deployed with 6th Airborne Division, Palestine.
