Pair: Private H.A.P. Dunn, South Lancashire Regiment British War and Victory Medals (54063 Pte. H.A.P. Dunn. S.Lan.R.), very fine or better, with photographic image of recipient (2) Estimate £ 60-80 54063 Private Henry Arthur Packer ´Joe´ Dunn, born Cheltenham; educated as the St. Paul´s PE School and was a drummer in the parish Scout Troop, ´he enlisted in the 1/5th South Lancashire Regiment in Cheltenham and after training was sent to France to join his battalion being involved in the actions to follow up the German retreat in the autumn of 1917. He was killed by the explosion of a concealed German mine [17.9.1917], has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial´ (Leaving All That Was Dear, refers).
