Three: Driver S. Bishop, Royal Field Artillery 1914-15 Star (19844 Dvr: S. Bishop. R.F.A.); British War and Victory Medals (19844 Dvr. S. Bishop. R.A.); nearly extremely fine, with Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque ´Sidney Bishop´, with photographic image of recipient (3) Estimate £ 80-100 19844 Driver Sidney Bishop, born Cheltenham, ´he enlisted in the R.F.A. in Newport, Monmouthshire and served in France, being gassed in action there. Whilst on the strength of the 6th Reserve Bd., he fell ill and underwent an operation for appendicitis, dying from the effects on the 10th November 1917 in Bute Hospital, Luton. He is buried in Cheltenham Borough Cemetery.´ (Leaving All That Was Dear, refers).
