An Officer´s Undress jacket of the 13th Light Dragoons A blue uniform, circa 1845, with white cloth collar and pointed cuffs, edged all round with 1in. gold Vandyke lace forming dummies at the back, hooks and eyes to front, with a row of studs reaching the top of the collar, plain gold cord loops on shoulders, fastened by regimental buttons, two similar buttons above each cuff, no piping to backseams; with a note stitched into the lining stating that this jacket was worn by J Anstruther-Thomson (braid loop at collar broken but present) See illustration Note: J Anstruther-Thomson transferred from the 9th Lancers to the 13th Light Dragoons in 1841, being promoted Captain in that year, and served with them until c1845.
