Hopkins A.S.C) d) Jubilee 1935 e) Coronation 1937, Great War Medals with traces of solder originally used for mounting purposes, nearly very fine or better, mounted court style as originally worn, with the associated miniature awards including a Defence Medal (6) Estimate £ 100-120 Superintendent Arthur William Churchill Hopkins (1884-1973); joined the Police 23.11.1903; enlisted for service in the Great War with the Army Service Corps (M.T.), 5.5.1915-6.1.1919; returned to the Police as a Sergeant in Training Branch, 1.5.1920; Inspector in charge of Training Branch, 16.4.1922; Superintendent, Cirencester, 16.8.1931; transferred to Cheltenham, 1.4.1937; made a Serving Brother of the Order of St. John, 1941; retired 1947.
