Military Cross, G.V.R., attributed to Second Lieutenant F. Rowcliffe, Honourable Artillery Company, unnamed as issued, nearly extremely fine, in Royal Mint case of issue, with a newspaper cutting announcing the recipient´s death. Estimate £ 380-420 M.C. London Gazette 13.2.1917 2nd Lt. Frederick Rowcliffe, H.A.C. ´For conspicuous gallantry in action. He led his platoon in the attack with great courage and determination. On another occasion he rendered valuable service by clearing enemy dug-outs under heavy fire.´
