A Sovereign´s Standard of the Household Cavalry The reverse side only, of an early Edwardian standard, crimson damask bearing a Rose, Thistle and Shamrock spray above DIEU ET MON DROIT, flanked by EviiR cyphers beneath Queen´s Crowns, with battle-honours from DETTINGEN to TEL EL KEBIR, with gold fringe edging and tasselled cords, mounted on a fluted wooden pole bearing a good Royal Crest finial in gilt metal (stitching fault to standard, pole sawn in half and re-attached); together with a crimson and gold-laced standard-belt of the Household Cavalry, with massive and ornate gilt fittings bearing titles and battle-honours (lacking its spring-clip attachment) (2) See illustration Estimate £ 900-1,200
