Glue. 2-R.W.Surr.R.), named in later sans serif impressed capitals, edge bruise, nearly very fine India General Service 1854-95, planchet only (No. 176. J.A. Lee. Royal West Surrey Regt.), renamed in large engraved serif capitals, very fine (3) Estimate £ 400-450 655 Private Charles Glue, born Guildford, Surrey, 1858; enlisted in the Royal West Surrey Regiment, 1876; served in Malta 1877-78; in India and Burma 1878-1894; discharged 1894 after 18 years 40 days with the colours; re-enlisted Army Service Corps 26.10.1915; discharged unfit for War service 16.8.1916.
