R.), minor edge bruise, nearly extremely fine, scarce clasp Estimate £ 220-250 538 Private George William Marshall, born London 1860; enlisted in the Royal West Surrey Regiment, 1883; Served in India and Burma 1883-1891; discharged in 1895 after 12 years with the colours. The rare Burma 1887-9 clasp was made at the Royal Mint. The medal was therefore probably claimed from Britain.
