An Officer´s Sword of the 6th Dragoon Guards A good Edwardian sword, of the special Carabinier pre-1912 pattern, by Wilkinson (Serial No 41273 indicating date of 1908), with 35in. slightly-curved fullered blade bearing ornate foliate decoration, Edward VII cypher, badge of the 6th Dragoon Guards and scroll inscribed J ANSTRUTHER, distinctive steel guard with 6DG device within the "honeysuckle" decoration, fine wire-bound grip of chequered wood, in its steel scabbard (blade sharpened for service use and with some nicking to end of cutting edge)
