R.), extremely fine, with Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque ´Robert Watkin´ (sic) (2) Estimate £ 50-60 3565 Private Robert Watkins is given as ´Watkins´ on M.I.C. card and ´Watkin´ on Commonwealth War Graves list; native of Scunthorpe; served during the Great War with the 1/4th West Riding Regiment and was killed in action on the Somme, 25.9.1916, when the 1/4th were in the front line at Halloy, Somme; he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
