R.), very fine Estimate £ 160-200 Major Robert Henry Withington Owen, born 1882; educated Cheltenham and Sandhurst; commissioned Second Lieutenant West Riding Regiment, 14.10.1908; Lieutenant 26.10.1911; Captain 10.6.1915; Acting Major 16.1.1919-4.2.1920 and served in operations against the Mohmands and the Swatis, and in Afghanistan 1919, including the assault on Fort Spin Baldack; Major 23.3.1929; re-engaged for the Second World War as Assistant Officer Pay and Records, Exeter, until October 1942.
