Burma, large bronze ´gold weight´, 1.48 kg., figure of Naungdoji with ornate handle (1760-3), red-brown copper alloy; together with set of seven weights, Pagan Min design (1846-52), some with an incuse star on each base, 318.79g., 163.19g., 79.46g., 32.36g., 16.06g., 7.95g., 4.99g., with a painted red and gold wood stand, pierced at one end; this set possibly later (Mitch.p.365; Opitz pp.376-8), the first with some wear and minor corrosion, others in good order; the stand generally in good order, most of the gold paint faded (8) Estimate £ 180-250
