g Victoria (1837-1901), Proof set, 1839, gold 5 Pounds "Una and the Lion" (variety with scrolls to right, dirige and central stops on rim), Sovereign and Half Sovereign, silver Crown, Halfcrown, Shilling, Sixpence, Groat and Maundy Fourpence, Threepence, Twopence, Penny, copper Penny, Halfpenny and Farthing (15 coins) (S.PS3; the 5 Pounds L&S 17 (type 2AW)), edge flaw (in the striking) at 2 o´clock on the reverse of the crown; hairline scratches in the fields mainly of the gold, and scratches on the silver Penny; some toning on the silver and copper, extremely fine to good extremely fine, a very rare and popular set, in contemporary fitted case, this unfortunately in extremely poor state Estimate £ 25,000-30,000 The case illustrated is not the damaged case that is included witht his lot.
