1897 New Currency Surcharges Small Figures Surcharge on Dowager First Print 1/2c. on 3ca. to 30c. on 24ca. the set of ten showing the complete set of shades with 1/2c. on yellow, orange-yellow and olive-yellow; 1c. on pale and deep vermilion; 2c. on pale green and green; 4c. on pale and deep rose-pink; 5c. on dull orange and orange-yellow; 8c. and 10c. on 6ca. brown, chocolate and orange-brown; 10c. on 9ca. dull and bright green; 10c. on 12ca. brown-orange, deep orange-yellow and light yellow (rare) plus 30c. on carmine-red and deep red; part to large part original gum.
