x Mauritius Later Issue Queen Victoria Covers To Switzerland 1895 (21 July) 8c. registered envelope to Berne, uprated with 1879-80 2r.50c. brown-purple cancelled with c.d.s., showing superb double-ring "a.r." (Proud AR1, the earliest recorded date of use) alongside, "registered/mauritius" oval d.s. in red and "la reunion a marseille/l.v. no 4", the reverse with oval-framed "general post office/Arms/mauritius" h.s. in red and arrival c.d.s. (19.8); minor soiling around some perfs. though a rare stamp used alone on cover to an unusual destination. Photo Estimate £ 150-200
