China British Post Office I.P.O. Tieprints wei-hai-wei: 1899 (1 Nov.) red band cover to Aberdeen bearing C.I.P. 1/2c. pair, 1c. pair, 2c. and 5c. tied by type 6 large, rubber "weihaiwei" oval datestamp (40x23mm) used with pair of Hong Kong 5c. blue tied by Chefoo "I.P.O." tieprint and Hong Kong c.d.s.; the reverse with Chefoo bilingual and arrival c.d.s.. A fine cover and an unusual routing via Hong Kong instead of Shanghai. Photo Estimate HK$ 15,000-20,000Tieprint covers from Wei-Hai-Wei are very scarce.
