China British Post Office chungking: 1898 (18 Aug.) envelope addressed to Castle Douglas bearing I.C.P. 1c., 4c., 5c. and 10c. tied by good strikes of the Chungking Dollar chop, Hong Kong 10c. purple on red cancelled by Shanghai c.d.s.; underfranked by 10c. and bears "T" in circle tax mark with London "I.B./5d" handstamp; the reverse with Shanghai Dollar chop (reversed "S"), Hong Kong and arrival c.d.s.; some light soiling but an attractive and appealing cover.
